Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
It was great to see our Stage 2 & 3 students joining in the Cricket Gala day in Bellingen on Wednesday. My thanks go to Carmel Beaumont, Louise Sprowles and Kim Brady for organising this experience for the students. After a few years of working together through a pandemic it has certainly been welcome to get out and involved in events like this. It was only 1 year ago that we went into lockdown in regional NSW!

The ‘Tell them from me’ surveys are still open. Please note these school improvement surveys will close on August 31st. Parents can access the surveys by following the link provided below. I encourage each family to complete the surveys so we can capture your voice in our school improvement processes.
Tell them from me - Parent Surveys
On Monday, the Stage 1 students led us in a Prayer Assembly on the Assumption of Mary. Mary is a significant woman in our Catholic faith; she is considered the first disciple of Jesus. Monday was the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. It is a day in our church where we celebrate her assumption into heaven. All the students brought home a reflection that they completed during the assembly. I encourage you to reflect with the students about this significant day in the church.
Regards,
Nathan Trezise,
Principal

Feathered Visitor
Yesterday morning we were excited to see a male Regent Bowerbird in the carpark. He was greedily eating the flowers off the magnolia tree and was quite happy for us to come up close and take photos. The Regent Bowerbird is usually shy and retiring and is found in forests, particularly rainforest and densely treed gullies, so it was amazing to see one up so close. We are curious as to where his bower is!
Fathers' Day Breakfast & Liturgy
We will be celebrating Fathers' Day with a special FREE breakfast and liturgy here at school on Friday 2nd September from 8:30am. Breakfast will be bacon & egg rolls and coffee (we have asked Gordo to bring his van on the day). This will be followed by a liturgy. All fathers, grandfathers and father figures are invited! More information to follow next week.
How to Cancel a Canteen Order
If you need to, you can cancel canteen orders before 8:30am on Friday mornings. If you know your child is going to be away you can go into Compass Canteen and select "cancel order". The money goes back into your Compass "wallet" so you can use it next time you order.
