Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
Earlier this week Mrs Beaumont and I went on camp with the Stage 3 students at Coffs Coast Adventure Camp. The two days were demanding as students were presented with a number of ‘challenge by choice’ activities. Students engaged in the commando course, zipline, z-ball, ladder logs and the giant swing. All activities pushed the students to challenge themselves to see how high they could go, or in the case of the commando course, how far into the mud they were willing to go. I acknowledge and thank Mrs Beaumont for organising this event and ensuring it ran smoothly. Some photos from camp are below.
On Wednesday I went with a group of students to the Dylan Edwards Rugby League Gala Day in Urunga. This was a great day out for a small team of students from our school. We played modified NRL, with a number of our players giving it a go for the very first time. I was impressed with the way the students worked together as a team and was pleased to see our first-timers learn about the game. Some photos from this day are also below.
Finally, I look forward to seeing many of you at the Friendship Night next Thursday 2nd June. This starts at 5:00pm in the Stage 2 & 3 room. Children will then split into another room for some friendship activities while the parents meet, with dinner to follow. My thanks go to everyone for registering, as this greatly assists us to cater for dinner.
Regards,
Nathan Trezise,
Principal
