Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
This week we welcomed parents back in to school for our Prayer Assembly on Monday. It was so good to have parents joining us in prayer again after a long absence. Our Kindergarten students led our prayer on the resurrection of Jesus. This prayer is the culmination of Holy Week, which we celebrated in our church during the Easter holidays. Below are some photos of the Kindergarten students leading this prayer.
On Wednesday students from our school ran at the Clarence Zone Cross Country carnival in Grafton. We thank Robert Miller for driving the children and helping us get there and back safely. The students were outstanding ambassadors for our school. They tried their best in hot and humid conditions and were probably thankful that the venue changed to a flat course due to the recent wet weather. Some photos of our team of runners are below.
NAPLAN commences next week for students in Years 3 and 5. These assessments take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We wish our students well in these assessments.
Finally I wish all our mothers and those in our community who serve as mothers a Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday. I keep you all in my prayers this weekend. On Monday, we are holding a special Mother’s Day Liturgy and afternoon tea at 2:30pm. I invite all mothers to come along and join us in recognising the role mothers play in the lives of our students. I close with this prayer for mothers:
Regards,
Nathan Trezise,
Principal
We are honoured to be on the ancestral lands of the Gumbaynggirr people.
